A Court for Intellectual Property Rights now operates in Russia

The grand opening of the Court for Intellectual Property Rights took place in Moscow. President of the Court – Lyudmila NOVOSELOVA.

 

The Court for Intellectual Property Rights is the first specialized arbitration court in Russia, which considers within its jurisdiction cases of disputes related to protection of intellectual property rights.

 

One of its main tasks is to protect the rights of authors and copyright holders to various intellectual property rights, including rights to trademarks, trade secrets, utility models and industrial designs, etc.

 

Creation of a specialized body is caused by the need to increase the investment attractiveness of the Russian economy and the effectiveness of intellectual property rights protection in accordance with international standards, as reported by the Center for Public Affairs and Media of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
