St. Petersburg holds G-20Y Summit for young business leaders

St. Petersburg hosted the opening ceremony of the fourth G-20Y Summit for young business and finance leaders from G20 countries

Today, on August 22, St. Petersburg hosted the opening ceremony of the fourth G-20Y Summit for young business and finance leaders from G20 countries at the age of 30 to 50 years. G-20Y Summit, which takes place two weeks prior to the meeting of the Heads of States at the G20 Forum, will run until August 25.

Ksenia Horuzhnikova, the Founder and President of the G-20Y International Organizing Committee opened the ceremony.

The Summit is attended by the owners and top managers of leading world (according to Forbes Global 2000) and national companies as well as private persons occupying high positions in the governmental or public institutions.

During the Meeting, the participants plan to develop a set of recommendations for business leaders to pass it to the G20 Heads of States, as well as the world's leading organizations - the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the European Commission and the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision. 

The participants - there are about a hundred people – are divided into seven committees. Each of them will be working on one of the issues of the agenda, including the issue of job creation, combating corruption, and building long-term economic prosperity.

Recall that the G-20Y Summit was organized by a special public international committee and is held since 2010. During this time, it was attended by representatives of 135 leading world companies. Canada, France and Mexico have already hosted the Summit.
